My mind got frozen for a second and I’m seriously exhausted
for having performed my dance of joy more than a hundred times but sometimes you just can't just go against your body. Finally Kim Soo Hyun (You From Another Star) and Gong
Hyo Jin (It’s Okay, It’s Love) both
confirmed for Producer (working
title). Please a round of applause for everyone out there who patiently waited
like freaks for them to confirm! They join Chae
Tae Hyun (Jeon Woo-chi) and IU (You’re the Best Lee Soon-Shin) to the casting of the next drama of You From Another Star’s writer, Park Ji Eun.
Of course we got the waltz of the usual: ‘He’s considering’, ‘She’s
favourably considering’ and other ‘He received the offer and is reviewing it’. Thank
you for all the dance steps but mainly thank you for the confirmations!
Typically you feel (or can predict?) that Producer is the kind of drama that will be overrated in a way or
another. It gathered so much attention already for the cast rounds and the
cameras haven’t begin rolling on yet! Obviously a foursome like that offers a
visibility that will undeniably serve the drama. No doubt about it.
I’m not going to lie (my dance of joy can testify in case I would try to
deny it): I’m freaking excited about Producer.
The premise, the cast, the writer are solid elements that push my ‘expectometre’ at his highest level right
now. I want meta jokes, cameos and fun. And I want all that with a big red
ribbon on it!
And that’s exactly at this moment that you realize if the drama doesn’t
meet your expectations, you will be left decomposed and empty. And that won’t
be pretty to watch I know. But I decided to believe the writer, who contacted
Kim Soo Hyun herself. She won’t possibly ruin a cast of that level, right?
Chae Tae Hyun and Gong Hyo Jin will
both play veteran PD while Kim Soo Hyun will be a novice entering that world in
the name of love. IU will portrait a top star, who has been betrayed many times
in the past.
Producer will air on
Friday and Saturday nights on KBS and is scheduled to premiere on April 17.
April isn’t far. If I reverse the space and time concept and then a multiplication of how many times the sun will rise and set and the moon will appear full and add 3,14 to the whole result and... All right there's still one month to go and I think I can wait without going completely crazy.
