It’s almost time for many of
my cuties to go to the army and served the country for two years. It’s
heart-breaking but a man gotta do what a man gotta do. Ji Chang Wook is definitely one of those cuties I’ll miss.
I fell in love with him in Healer and to make the story
short, there’s not much I didn’t like about the drama!
Ji Chang Wook has been busy
with many Chinese’s projects lately (Whirlwind
Girl 2). I was desperate to see him back in
a Korea before his enlistment but the dramas’ gods had mercy on me (and on many
others I know) because he’s been cast in an upcoming drama scheduled on tvN for this autumn: K2
(working title).
He was so intense in Healer it was almost inhuman. Gentle,
ferocious, serious, funny, scared, touched, in love, surprised, confused, lost,
he went through all kind of emotions and we won me over all the time. Let’s
hope Ji Chang Wook will be as intense and real in K2 as he was in Healer.
This upcoming drama is
described as a love story between Kim Jae Ha a.k.a K2, a bodyguard, and former mercenary disavowed by his
country and the illegitimate daughter of a politician, well-loved and potential
future president. That illegitimate daughter, who’ll be our hero’s love
interest is still need to be cast but the drama has already secured Song Yoon-ah. The latter will play the
fierce eldest daughter of JB Group and Kim Jae Ha‘s employer.
K2 will be
penned by Jang Hyuk Rin who wrote
one of last year big success, YongPal.
I really loved the first part of YongPal
but the last 10 episodes (which is a lot) was messy and heartless. Of course
that doesn’t mean a thing but drama don’t waste Ji Chang Wook in his last pre-enlistment
project.
K2 is
scheduled somewhere in September after The
Good Wife. Can’t barely wait for this!
