Secret Door (time to open that door!)

Secret Door’s premiere is today! Who’s excited? I’m excited! Like a lot! I was waiting to be today since the announce of the drama. Ok I was actually freaking excited the precise moment Han Suk Kyu and Lee Je Hoon were officially attached to the project. 


I fell in love with Han Suk Kyu in Tree With Deep Roots. I remember having been kind of ‘forced’ by a friend to start the drama. I didn’t regret it, at least for the sake of Han Suk Kyu ‘cause honestly the love storyline didn’t get me thrilled at all. The leads (Jang Hyuk and Shin Se-Kyung) were standing there, trying to make me believe that it was actually love but gosh I wasn’t sold. Not even for a second. Ask me everything you want about the awesome performance of Han Suk Kyu (as well as Song Joong-Ki who admirably played his young counterpart) but don’t expect anything from me about the love story. Han Suk Kyu’s back in a sageuk where he plays another king. You have me drama. You had me from the get go if things have to be said! 

Lee Je Hoon is what I call a damn-good-actor-who’s-still-a-bit-underrated-according-to-me. I loved him in the independent movie The Bleak Night. He was strangely disturbing but genially incredible. Crown Prince Sado’s role is the kind of role that can take him to the stardom. I'm sure of it. 

I’m on the verge of implosion because of my anticipation even though as usual I’ll have to wait the end of the drama’s run to watch it (24 episodes in this case). Ok it’s not that someone’s threaten me not to watch it while it’s airing but that’s how my little ritual goes. You know I love to wait till the drama is complete to start it and even to do a marathon (translated: that’s what happens most of the time.)

Historical drama about the conflict between father King Young Jo (Han Suk Kyu), who wished to strengthen the King′s rule, and his son Crown Prince Sado (Lee Je Hoon), who dreamt of making his country one where all are equal. See you in couple of weeks Secret Door. In the meantime I’ll just forget about you completely and ignore you, only to love you more when I’ll start watching you! So please be good, fulfil all my expectations and don’t be a disappointment me!
