Not really sure why I’m so excited about Pinocchio. Alright maybe it’s because I hear your voice’ was among
my crushes of 2013; maybe because Lee
Bo-Young’s character in it, Jang Hye Sung,
became one of my ultimate reference in the list of my favourite female leads; maybe
because I kind of trust the screenwriter; maybe because it’s time for me to
have another dose of Lee Jung-Seok. Those are a lot of reasons for someone who didn’t
seem to have any in the first place. I admit it.
I usually like those dramas where you have a band of young
twenty-something characters that have to work together. That automatically and implicitly
suggests to grow and learn together à la
You’re all surrounded. That proximity will lead in the best cases
scenario to a strong alchemy and in the worst cases to a total mess (= a torture
for us).
Even if the drama isn’t the best thing you’ve ever seen, if the alchemy
is there you, basically won’t have enough. I called that the Sungkyunkwan Scandal’s syndrome. It’s
while watching that drama that I really feel the importance (and the magic) of a
good alchemy and connection not only between the leads. You can only end up
rooting for that bunch of friends evolving right before your eyes. No point of useless
discussions here because no one is going to make me think differently.
The first script reading took place days ago and the first trailer is
out. I really pray for Lee Jung Suk’s hair
style will last half an episode!)
The premise has nothing original but I’m sure Pinocchio’s going to be
fun and light. At least I hope. Drama, just don’t wait your cast (Lee Jung Suk, Park Shin Hye, Kim
Young-Kwang, Lee Yoo-Bi)
See you in two weeks drama, right after She’s
So Lovable!
