One year after the massive
success of the awesome Signal, Lee Je
Hoon is back on tvN for a new drama,
Tomorrow With You. He’ll play Yoo
So-joon, a rich real estate company’s owner who can travel in time! Thanks to his
power he became a wealthy and successful entrepreneur. Whatever the place he
picks for a business he always hits the jackpot! A really useful ability if you
ask me!
Yoo So-joon’s married to Song
Ma-rin (Shin Min Ah), a former child actress who grew up being an unknown photographer.
She’s happily married to Yoo So-joon. One day she’ll find out her loving
husband can travel in time. I hope they’ll end up traveling together for double
fun. How our hero developed that ability, in which periods he travels, how he
managed to hide his secret? No answers on that so far but they better be
original.
Tomorrow With You has a nice premise and the potential to be a super sweet rom-com as
long as the scenario is up to the level. Heo
Sung-hye who’s the writer attached to this project previously penned Dream High 2 and Beyond The Clouds. I haven’t watched the later one but I’ve dropped
the first one. Not reassuring but I want to believe things will be different
this time around. A good and solid scenario that’s all I’m asking for. PD Yoo who did Oh My Ghost (one of my recent crushes), will do the
directing.
In a recent interview Lee
Je Hoon said he wanted to try a rom-com. If Tomorrow
With You is of Queen In-Hyun’s Man’s
calibre, his wish has been granted (and mine as well). Shin Min Ah is solid in
rom-coms and always manage to have chemistry with her co-star even if the drama
is nothing cute (Oh My Venus).
So I have zero stress on that side.
Tomorrow With You will be totally pre-produced. Filming will start this month. The drama
is scheduled for January 2017. I can’t barely wait for this…
